This morning, Loon Lake RCMP received a complaint about an individual who allegedly entered a residence on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation with a firearm. The male is believed to be inside the residence. The number of other persons inside the residence is unknown at this time. Multiple RCMP members are on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
As a precaution, Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation School and Ernie Studer School have enacted their hold and secure procedures due to their proximity to the incident. Police are asking the public to stay away from the area at this time. Please do not announce police presence on social media. Do not post police officer or police vehicle locations. The RCMP thanks the public for its cooperation.
