After a two-year battle with cancer, it is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Opal Yvonne Feucht (Handley).
Opal was born on February 11, 1945 at Meadow Lake, SK and passed away on September 20, 2018 at Assiniboia, SK.
She is survived by her husband Dale Feucht of 55 years, her daughter Terri (Calvin), grandson Chase (Crystal) Hepworth and great granddaughter Aria, her granddaughter, Raquel (Spencer McNamara), grandson Travis Hepworth, granddaughter Christie Fender; son Keith, granddaughter Daneka Feucht; son Richard (June) Feucht, grandson Justin Feucht and granddaughter Sophie Feucht.
Opal was predeceased by her parents: William (Bill) and Antoinette (Ann) Handley.
Opal is also survived by her siblings: Bruce (Sandra), Marie (John), Joseph (Theresa), Belinda (Garnet), Mark (Kim); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of a funeral and as per Opal`s wishes, a prayer service was held Saturday evening and a family memorial and scattering of ashes will be held in July at one of her favourite camping and hiking places in the mountains. Opal dearly loved her family and enjoyed travelling, camping, hiking, kayaking and everything outdoors until she became ill.
