On July 23, just before 5 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP responded to a call of a pedestrian who had been allegedly struck by a vehicle on the Matchee-Neeb Road approximately 20 kilometres east of Meadow Lake. A 24-year-old male from Flying Dust First Nation was pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy will take place next week.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene and the investigation in ongoing.  Along with Meadow Lake RCMP, members of Saskatoon MCU, North Battleford Forensic Identification Services, Saskatoon Collision Reconstruction and North Battleford GIS are assisting with the investigation.
